I want to let everyone know about my extremely bad experience in trying to get a saree blouse stitched in Riwaaz Tailors, in Brookefields, Bangalore. 1) You will end up selecting a high-priced complex design on their influence. They will make you feel that they don’t do any regular patterns! 2) Though they had taken complete measurements, the blouse was nowhere near to my fitting when it was delivered. Couldn’t even pull my hands in!!! You may get a heart attack seeing your blouse… looking at what they have done to it. I don’t think any tailor or even someone who is just learning to stitch would do anything like this! 3) Alteration round 1 - To get it fixed, they had to remove the stitches & expand the whole blouse leaving hardly any material behind! I was in a situation of either accommodate whatever crappy design they come up with or trash the blouse. With no options left, I agreed to cut the neck design & add a twine to tie in the back. (Twines! I hate them … but had no other way!! :-( ) 4) Alternation round 2 - they came up with a twine (which I hate) that is not of the same color as the blouse. Are they color blind too? Don’t imagine in your wildest dreams that they would agree their mistake. They are very arrogant & rude... which I realized the very first time I opened my mouth to raise my concerns. 5) Alteration round 3 - Fitting re-adjusted, attached some hanging to the tips of the twine which looked as if a 2 year old kid did it. It was done with a different color thread looking as if she burnt the twine to get it fixed!! 6) Alternation round 4 - I had to get the hangings changed (with one of the 2 they had available) while I waited there. 7) Apart from screwing up the fitting, to make the matters worse, the white screen print (trade mark info) which you normally see on fabrics was placed directly below the so called neck design. They didn’t even have a micro level of sense to place it somewhere, where it will be hidden/ covered! After all these, there is no regret from their side and it was very easy to say just to rub it with petrol or dry clean it. I went to many drycleaners & as per them there is no way it can be removed since it is on a very delicate silk material. It will spoil the blouse all the more. Now I will have to walk around with ‘Narayana Enterprises’ on my back. Not just me, many people empathized looking at this master piece (my blouse) stitched from Riwaaz. Never raise your concerns or try to enquire if anything wrong with your stuff because they won’t listen to you, they won’t let you talk as well… You will just get embarrassed by the way they talk. They are loud and insensible and have no feeling of guilt, regret or sympathy. A business with no ethics or values... doesn’t care about their customer or service. Left the place with tremendous amount of agony and anger, and decided never will be back again. I ended up making 5 visits to their place just to get my blouse in a wearable shape… but with screen prints still on the back of the blouse! I don’t think they even qualify to be a trainee tailor... far far away from a Boutique which they claim to be. They are overpriced. Charge you for every little thing you may see on your outfit... Beware, they might even charge you for the repairs for the damage they have created!
